    Question Savage 110BA bolt handle/knob on 10FCP?

    I have a Savage 10FCP McMillan I bought in 2008.
It has the over-sized ball type bolt lever.
Will the cylinder shaped longer bolt handle from the 110BA fit my 10FCP?

$80 bucks is a lot to spend on something that won't fit. I'd be pretty upset....lol

As long as you have a round rear action you are good to go, (and if its a new 2008 model then you should definitely have a round rear).

Yes. Rounded rear action. Bolt release on the right side of the receiver, not on the trigger guard.

Out of curiosity, has anybody already done this? I'd love to see a pic or two.

You might consider the handles from Glades Armory: http://gladesarmory.com/11/savage

I just got one, $54.99 + $2.00 shipping and it arrived here in California Gold Country in 2 days. Excellent workmanship, works great.

I own several glades armory bolt handles and I put a Savage 110BA bolt handle on my Savage FCP. The Savage feels much more substantial.

Would you mind posting a side by side comparison of the two?

Looks like the glades is a flat back,I think the op said he had a round reciever. Guess it would work but kinda look silly to me

I guess your right. I just went and looked at my glades armory. It is flat on top. My receiver is round. I guess it maybe looks a little silly. But to be honest it must not look that bad because I never noticed until you mentioned it. Maybe I'll have to put it on my flat back action and get the 110 ba handle for my round receiver. Probably won't though. I don't know if it's worth another $30-$40 just for that.

Didn't mean to be rude and say if someone reciever don't match there handle it's silly. Sorry about that I just like mine to match, everyone doesn't like the same thing.I'm sure there are a bunch of fellow barrelnuts on here that didn't notice or care either and I say to each his own.

Actually just and FYI, but when Savage changed over to the round receivers they continued using the flat rear handles on most models for quite some time. The only reason for the round rear handle is cosmetics. Personally I think a flat rear handle on a round rear looks fine and run several of mine that way. Now put a round rear handle on a flat rear action and that looks goofy.
