I bought the 42" pro shot stainless steel micro polished cleaning rod. I like it. Now all I have to do is find the adapter for the 17-20 cal. 5-40 thread to fit the 22 caliber 8-32 thread and to think that I put it up so I knew where it was.......

Congrats. I would still polish the rod with some 1600 to 2000 grit. FIRST....take the sharp edge off the end of the rod that you attach all of the accessories to. ....and....a couple drops of 100% synthetic oil in the handle - your new cleaning rod will last...literally...a lifetime.
