What chemical paint type stripper won't damage a synthetic stock?

Which chemical stripper won't damage a Savage synthetic stock? My stock has several layers of paint and Rust-Oleum spray on truck bed liner from years ago. I want to start over. Sanding won't work, it's a really hard rubber type finish that gums up sandpaper pretty quick. Anybody used chemical strippers on Savage stocks before?

I have used carb cleaner on many stocks. Takes some time, but keep spraying it on and rubbing with a rag. Once it starts to get under the paint, the paint will bubble off.
