finally got to the range the other day and very impressed with my .308 Savage Axis

this is from the other day at 100 yards sighting in and using Winchester Super X 180 grain ammo . I just put (6) rounds on this target that i modified so i could use less ammo to sight in , The target is gridded off in 1/4" moa so i could walk the rounds quickly into the bullseye . as you can see rds # 2,3 impacts are only 0.577 inches apart and the bullseye is 0.185 inches off from being dead center of the bullseye ,rds #5 & 6 were flyers do to very strong gusts of wind that came up and stopped shooting after that

forgot to mention this was with a 6-24x50 scope set on 24x and i could easily see my bullet strikes from 100yrds and once i got sighted in i was having fun hitting the 3" dia metal gongs at 100 and 200yrds . Also my Rifle has a Witt Machine bolt on muzzle brake so it felt like i was shooting a .223 or smaller caliber rifle

    Nice!

    What brand scope?

I saw that Witt Machine brake in another pic you had posted of your rifle; it looks very impressive. Good to know that it's effective as well.

it's a 6-24x50 scope from UTG and has very crisp/clear glass plus i like the adjustable parallax , the Muzzle brake makes the .308 feel like a much smaller caliber rifle

They usually have some federal match loads but for $30 a box. Federal 150gr blue box are decent under $20 and my personal favorite 165gr bonded "DeerThug" around $23.
