    Action Price?

What are the going rates of actions these days? I'm looking to buy a brand new action from someone, I'm just curious what would be a good price? It's pretty much a rifle minus a barrel.

**As a disclosure, I'm not looking to buy or sell anything on this site. Don't PM me about this sort of thing, I am not a paid member.

I have seen stevens actions going from as low as 225-300 and savage CS actions going for 300-350 lately.

Last action I bought was about 4 months ago. It was an almost new action and was $325, plus the $25 transfer fee. Honestly, if the new bottom bolt release doesn't bother you, I would just buy a complete gun from buds or something and part it out. You can actually come out a few bucks cheaper to do it that way if you mind doing a little work. If you are set on a top bolt release, you can still find some old stock new rifles on gun broker occasionally.
