    Combined Technologies 140gr 7mm in 7-08?

Picked up a box of these to try out.

Rifle is a 7-08 with a 24" CBI 1:9 on a T&Td 200 action in a Boyd's PH with a RB Sav-2 and a 2.5-10 VTX. Have had great success with the 150s in this rifle and picked up some 140 CTs to try out.

    Have H4831, H414, H4350, H4895, R17, IMR4064 and various primers.

Anyone having good results with this bullet in a 7-08?

The CT's are my absolute favorite bullet, I've only had experience with the .30 though I'm sure that you'll be impressed. They are too expensive for me to shoot in competitions or else I would use the CT's all the time. I just use them for hunting deer or to take to the range when I want to show someone what a tiny tiny group looks like!

Thanks for the reply. Going to start with some H4350 and go from there.

DanSavage ~ did you have any problem with build up of "LubaLox" using the CT's?

I shot about 20 through a 30-30AI Contender, and it took me days to get the black crap out of the barrel. Yeah, they did shoot nice.

After that episode, I put the box back on the shelf.

I don't seem to have a difficult time getting the Lubralox out, yes I'll get a few dark black patch's at first but in never seem's to build up too bad in my riffle when I shoot them from a sqeaky clean barrel. I had bad copper fouling problems with other bullets in the barrel I use them in but the CT's wouldn't copper up my barrel. In fact I found some of my fired CT's after shooting at the range in the sand bar,, the jackets were opened up big time being just 100 yards,, but the jackets were still black which really impressed me that it didn't seem to shed or burn off the Lubalox.

Tried a few loads over the weekend. They shot really well but interestingly enough were 100 fps the same load shooting a 150gr SGK.
