Alliant Power Pro 2000 MR powder in 6BR/ 6BRX?

Anybody tried this yet? It's supposed to be a little slower than Reloder 15, but it's ball powder, so it's more dense. I'd like to try it but I'm not real sure what charge weights would be appropriate. Alliant's web site is no help, and Google is not much more help. Anybody have any success with this combo?

i don't know much about the 6BR, but I want to try this in my 308. Are you shooting the 115's? Say it's for heavier bullet medium rifle cartridges.

I bought quite a bit of it before I sold my 264 lbc--it was highly rated as a good powder for producing good accuracy on 6.5 loads--my guess is that it would work well in your's--but I don't have any actual load data.

LoneWolf, I have 8 lbs of this stuff, and like you, I bought it for .308. I haven't tried it yet, as I still have a dwindling supply of Reloder 15 that I use. There seems to be plenty of .308 data on the web. But as of late my attention has been focused more on the 6's, and as they are said to do well with RL 15, I figured this might hopefully work as well. Yes, I would like to push the heavier 105gr. bullets with it. But it seems that it would require more to fill the case due to the higher density. Just not quite sure where to start?

Therm, did you like this powder in your .264? And I hope things have gotten better for you lately.

Thanks for the well-wish; I'm doing OK and have managed to stave off disaster! I did do a workup of 120 gr matchkings with 2000MR between 28 and 30 grs.--no sign of pressure problems anywhere with the best group around 29.5. In retrospect the 120 gr bullet is a bit big for the caliber for what I wanted and I stopped developing this load thereafter since I wanted an intermediate range hunting capable cartridge.
