found paint that sticks to tupperware

base coat of Krylon Fusion. then paint with whatever you like over the top of the krylon. first paint ive found that actually adhears to the savage tupperware, now im mad for selling all my tupperware stocks in the classifieds.

Yep! And it does work well on "Tupperware" and other plastic :-))

Yep,, before I painted logos or complete paint jobs on my stocks, I asked the painters in the body shop at a local Ford Dealership I work at how to prep. He gave me about 1/2 pint of Paint promotor made by Dupont. Turns out that promotor is on the high end $$$$ side, but hey...$free99 is my kinda price. It worked great, I get cleaning solvents on my paint jobs and the paint wont come off.
On the other hand?......not everybody works at a dealership and has the access.
Im sure your post will help other paint job enthusist though. (thanks for posting)
BTW......Real nice paint job on your stock........real nice.....job well done.

and mikgarus, i Love alumahyde, in my experience, it just doesnt adhere to savage tupperware very well as a base coat. the FUSION paint seems like it chemically bonds to the plastic stock(as a base coat) this stock is alumahyde over the top of the fusion

I've never had a problem getting spray paint to stick to a Savage synthetic stock.
As with anything finish related I'm convinced good prep is the key.
I always wipe em down good with denatured alcohol first and then paint away.

One of the things I've found with savage cheap plastic stocks is to go over them lightly with a blowtorch before painting. A lot of those stocks still have release agent from the mold in them and it doesn't like paint.

Just my 2 cents
