Sear adjustment help on model 12

My model12 will sometimes fire unexpectedly if the bolt is slammed home. I am assuming this can be rectified by adjusting the sear. Am I correct?

The trigger pull is very light. The previous owner used it for prairie dog hunting.

So if I understand correctly, a 1/8-1/4 tun on the sear screw should do the trick? does this sound about right?

Everyone I've had, or bought from some boob who "adjusted" it was different. Get it out of the stock and start testing.
I'm a firm believer in the theory that if it bleeds, I can kill it.

Could the spring be set too light?

Thanks for help fellas. I adjusted the sear screw and the safety screw. I think I fixed it.
