Is my grouping good? Savage HH 308

This is a factory HH 308. I wanted to install the on target calculator but I have a Mac. Middle target grouping were cold bore shots. I guess I have to dial my scope down ?

I would say there is nothing wrong with that at all especially for a factory gun and ammo.

Okay thanks. I don't reload yet so I can't squeeze every bit of accuracy. Just working on my breathing and trigger pull. This is my first Savage bolt gun btw. It's addicting shooting a bolt gun! My 308 semi rifle is getting ignored.

I'd say that's pretty good, if you plan to reload down the line save the brass. I haven't had the chance to get out and shoot mine yet, I've had no problems ordering parts for it though.

**I'd try to go for 5 shot groups since that's the "standard"

I would also consider 168 grain match loads as a test also.Never had any luck with the 175 matchkings.
Willing to give back for what the sport has done for me!

What are you planning on shooting? Flies? If so I would go with a little less gun!
    Looks good to me.

If it's a hunting rifle then dont adjust the scope down.
Your cold bore looks dead center.
Clean it up and re check the cold bore shot next range session.
If it's still dead on then leave it alone.
A good wife and a steady job has ruined many a great hunter.

Looks extremely good. Federal Gold medals seem to shoot well providing the person behind the trigger does his part. Nice shooting.

Thanks! I'll check my cold bore shots next range session.

That's good results. I would also try 168's and 165's just to compare. For hunting purposes your good to go.
