    Why I love Savage

Got to the range the other day to check a couple rifles for groundhog hunting. My favorite is a 112 22-250, first rifle I ever bought, just before getting out of high school. Bone stock with a cheaper scope and some 50gr vmax, and imr 4064
    300yds 3 shots

Thanks! I was pretty stoked about it. It spoiled me being the first gun I bought, I've had many since then and have yet to have one that shoots that well.
Foxx...would you believe me if I said there was a small bullseye right where those bullets hit

Now that's a VERY satisfying group for 300 yards! I bet you slept like a baby that night, with good dreams!

Thanks! Oh yes...slept quite well...lol. I took care of the clicks texas, my 1st 2 shots were touching so I thought Id see if I could finish it. Moved it over and went to 400, groups were centered on the bullseye then.

Hey cheap is as cheap does right? SWEET!

How much IMR 4064? Will definitely try that load.

Thanks! I can tell a big difference in optics though since my newer guns have better scopes, but when it shoots like it does, I dont mess with it. I'm using 35.1gr of IMR4064, its by no means hot but runs around 3550-3600 with a 50gr vmax. I worked that load up right out of high school and never touched it after that, I saw no reason to.

You ought to start shooting that rifle in competition, that is phenomenal shooting. Some custom rigs cant do that well even with a seasoned shooter
Willing to give back for what the sport has done for me!
