Savage 10 FCP DM HS: 2 Qs: Halp!!

I'm seriously considering one of these rifles, but I have two questions that I need answered before I surrender my Master Card:

1) I need to know more about the "HS" stock. Is this the "H-S Precision" stock,

or is it a Savage clone?


2) How can I swap out that hard rubber butt pad? It was dead easy on my Savage 14--remove the two screws and the factory butt plate is off.
But with this 10 FCP I can't see where there are any screws. Is there some trick to it, or am I stuck with the factory butt pad(?) for life?

Any other tips you provide will be appreciated.

1) Yes it is a HSP stock-

2). Believe HS glues the butt pads on.

Hmmm... Well, H-S may know which butt pad is best for me.
Silly me, I'd wanted to screw my Pachmayer on there... |

Just cut the other pad off......
