    Choate Tactical Stock

So I have started rebuilding my Savage 300 WM and purchased the Choate Tactical Stock. I have drilled out the mag box area as I have a magazine that attaches to the lower receiver. Anyone had to do the same for this stock? I am looking for anyone's insight as how to proceed with cutting out the rest of the plastic/ metal pillar area to fit the lower receiver area without messing it up to much.
