    model 3C peep sight mounting

Hi all, I have an old model 3C .22 & was wondering is it possible to mount peep sights. It's drilled & tapped on the left side of the receiver.

    Thanks

I am not sure were the 3C falls in the many versions of the Model 3 that were made but if it has two holes on the left rear of the receiver it should take the WFC 150 sight (factory offering), they show up regularly on eBay - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Savage-WFC-1...p2047675.l2557

There also are aftermarket sights that were made to fit the factory holes holes, I know for sure Lyman made one.

If there is only one hole in the center of a milled flat, than it takes a simpler sight that was offered before the 150, this example is missing a thin sheet metal pointer for elevation that goes under the mounting nut - that piece is often missing and is hard to find - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Savage-105-R...p2047675.l2557
