Hogdon has loads for the 25-06 with bullets up to 100gr, and for the 270 Win with bullets up to 160gr, so you should be fine.

I have a big 8lbs jug of IMR 4064 back at the house that I've only loaded about 200rds from for my 308. I'm looking at build 6.5-06 and was wondering if I could use the 4064 (I know there's better powders for this one) To at least get started. I will continue to shoot the 308, but just looking at possibilities.
I realize with a 110 LA and the .473 bolt head I have a slew of 6.5mm cartridges I could choose from. So maybe I'm not 100% settled on 6.5-06 of course if the barrel I'm looking for drops in view at the right price I'll probably go this route anyways.
If it's not possible I'll most likely be looking into IMR 7828 or H4350. 7828 seems to be more readily available and 4350 is super popular for just about any 6.5mm cartridge.
Thoughts from those who have tried a few?

RUMs are like woman in Stiletto heals, you know they are going to put you in the poor house, but that has never stopped anyone from pursuing them.
So based on the 2 maybe starting at say 43grs would be safe with 140gr bullet and working up from there?
Thanks Dean.
That's what I would do
