    reversing AI brass

I've got some 22-250AI brass that I got by accident. Can this be formed back into regular 22-250? It was originally regular 22-250.

I would anneal first, or you risk work hardening the brass and splits.

Honestly, I've never tried it. I seriously doubt it will go well. I see crushed brass in your future, that's a lot of brass to "move" back into shape. I think even if you anneal it, you're going to lose a bunch of it. Have you thought about trying to trade it online for standard brass?

Well, I gave it a shot. No annealing and didn't have a single problem.

I've made 308 from 30-06 just to see if it could be done.

    This would be much easier.

That's good to know. I'll file that away for future reference. Glad it worked out for you.
