    Custom Engraving

    Hello,

I am going to purchase my Dad a retirement gift and am thinking about a 12 VLP DBM in .243 as that's one of his favorite calibers.

I would like to have the rifle engraved with a couple of things...preferably on the bottom of the mag.

Would that be possible on this rifle...or would somewhere on the receiver be better?

Also -- any recommendations on gunsmiths would be much appreciated. I live in Colorado.

    Thank you!

Bottom of the mag works fine, Some of the anniversary 114's were done that way on the mag. Bad thing about the mag though is it can be lost, so I would think the receiver may be better in that respect, but not a lot of real estate to engrave on the receiver so.......

Only gunsmith that engraves that I know of in CO is the one in Denver that used to be on TV...........I know that's no help really, but WTH, I'll throw that out anyway.

Check out any local "trophy shop". They do name tags, etc. Might be able to fix you up?

May I suggest Scott Pilkington in Monteagle, Tennessee.
    Here is a link: http://www.pilkguns.com/menu_engraving.shtml
You probably have to call and talk to him face to face about the engraving.
Best of luck. Sounds like a great gift for your dad.

Almost any laser engraving shop could do it with ease.
Willing to give back for what the sport has done for me!
