    Savage 340C .223

Found a Savage 340C in .223 at the LGS today. No collector value as the receiver had a hole drilled in the top. LGS 'smith filled it in. Works fine, but no collector. Wood is in good shape.

Can get it for ~$250. Plan to put a simple scope on it and use it as a fun gun/plinker/'yote gun/woods gun. I have everything set up for reloading, so can shoot it cheap.

    Thoughts? Thanx

I also have a Savage 340 c , I updated mine by replacing the stock with a Boyds stock and a new scope and a B-Square mount, it should be good for another 50 years..
