Date My 10 PC?

Hi All,

I recently traded for a Precision Carbine in .308, and I wondered how old it is and when Savage began selling them with threaded BBls - which mine does not have. S # is G928XXX, can anyone give me a rough date of manufacture?

Also, are there any things I should know with a 10 PC of this vintage? So far, it's a great shooter.
