Store in a Pelican 1750 w/ or w/o bolt installed?

Noticed that with the bolt installed, it definitely leaves a big imprint on the upper foam, and I have to give the lid a bit of pressure in order to close it. I fear that this will greatly reduce the absorption offered by the case.

Obviously storing it with the bolt out will solve this, but I've never seen anyone need to do so. Thus, should I leave it be, or take the bolt out when its in the case?

    Thanks

I have the Tac bolt handle on mine and just made a small notch in the foam where it compresses.

I'd never leave a gun in a foam-lined case longer than I had to (basically while transporting it).

The foam traps moisture and I've seen guns rusted into pig iron in foam-lined cases.
