Replacement trigger guard for hog hunter?

Is there a factory part number for a steel or aluminum trigger guard that will fit the hog hunter?

    Thanks

I assume this is what you are referring to (thank-you), but I notice this is style that'd require some shimming. Is there not an option for a new style, and if not, what's the best way to shim?

I don't think the Hog Hunter will require the shimming you are talking about. However, if it does, I would just bed it with JB Weld. Spray the trigger with PAM spray or apply some other release agent first.

Regardless, you can just call Savage, give them your S/N, they will know the part.

Best price and on-the-shelf I found a month ago was at Boyds Stocks. Stainless but painted now.
