help with ID

I am currently out of town and picked up this rifle for cheap, so I had a buddy pick it up for me. I was wanting to pick up some parts for it and didn't Know exactly what model it was. it was sold to me as a Savage 110 in 30-06. I think it is a stagger feed but is there anything else I need to know before buying barrel/ bolt/ scope rings/ or stock? TIA

You need to have it in your hot little hands before you assume anything.....

Barrel: small shank. Other than that, they are all the same.

Bolt: All the same, won't have a need or reason to replace

stock: if plastic/composite, you might want to change it out... must find out if it is blind (internal ) mag or detachable box. Also need to confirm if it is staggered feed or center feed. It only matters when buying a stock, though. It is a long action, that also matters.

scope/rings? Does not matter except for base. you need to find out if it is "flat back" or "round back". If going with one piece base, it is long action.

It is flat back, long action, blind mag. Probably staggered feed, as you said. To know for sure, it is easiest to wait till you can remove the stock. If the mag box stays attached to the action, it is staggered feed blind mag. If the mag goes with the stock, it is center feed mag.

Unless you have something special in mind, probably no reason to replace the stock.

Mounts and rings look "iffy", especially the front ring... is that mounted half-on / half-off the base?

so, if I order a barrel all I need to know to order is the profile I want and to know it is a small shank 30-06?

That said, based off your pics foxx is right. It is a Flat rear, long action, blind mag. It is almost for certain a Staggerfeed as Savage did not make a flat rear centerfeed to the best of my recollection.

For the barrel, yes. Small shank is all you need to know since you know that the rifle is configured now for a 30-06 so any chambering with a .473" base should work for you. Again I would hold off and be 100% by visually checking all of this for yourself before laying down several hundred dollars on a new barrel.

You can tell by the barrel nut if it's small or large shank.

large shank is on the left.

A flat top action will be flat on top where the rear scope mounts attach, and a round top will be round where the mounts attach. Each uses it's own dedicated scope mount and are not interchangeable.
