    Opening a barrel channel?

Not sure if this was the place to ask but what would be the best tool to relieve the barrel channel on a laminated stock?
It's not going to take much, just a little in front of the chamber.

    Thanks, John.

Sand paper flapper wheel, that is what I use.

Sand paper wrapped around a wooden dowel or deep socket. Seal with Brichwood Casey stock seal or outdoor polyurethane.

The sandpaper flapper wheel sounds like a good idea. I've used 40 grit sandpaper around a 1" wooden dowel with good results.

I like to use the sockets, just because they have some heft, and I can easily vary the diameter depending on how much I need to open the channel.
