I use a lot of H380 in the 250. Have not seen a difference with standard or mag primers. I have been using the same load in 2 different 250's for over 25 years. It just plain works.
Supposed to be great but for some reason I could not get H380 to shoot well using 55gr bullets; switched to a slower powder to get good groups.
H-380 and IMR4350 have been good to me in the .22-250.
I'd seen sometime back the original loading was 38grs of h380, however that's too hot of a load for my rig.
I used mag primers for quite sometime but found the standard primers grouped better, duh, only took me about three years to stumble upon that concept. But as stated many times each rifle likes what it likes.
I use H-380 exclusively in my 22-250. As far as I'm concerned, it is "THE" 22-250 powder. Use standard primers. Sure other, modern powders will work too. But that doesn't suddenly stop the old powders from working as they did before. If it ain't broke, don't fix it is my motto.
And yes, each rifle is it's own individual. My load is 40.0 grs and a Hornady 50 gr Vmax.

I just bought a Savage Model 12 VLPDBM Varmint in 22-250. The best load I developed was 39.5gr H380; 55gr Nosler BT Varmint; CCI200 primers, and Nosler brass. It is shooting 0.3 MOA at 100 yards. I'm getting 0.4 to 0.5 MOA at 300 yards. I seat the bullet .030 from the lands.
Win 760 and H414 also work well in a 22-250 with a 55gr, 41gr to 43gr depending what brand the brass is.

h380 is not the most temp. stable so that may be an issue depending on use.
best goups outta my model 12 so far is 38g h380 and a nosler 50g ballistic tip. very accurate and no pressure signs in my gun. standard win wlr primers
I haven't had a 22-250 yet that can't have a load worked up with H380 and shoot well. For a couple rifles it has been the absolute best powder. I have tried magnum primers with H380 with no discernable difference. I have one that is a 26" barreled gun that is mostly used for long pokes on yotes. I use Federal 210 Match primers for that rifle. The rest use WLR.
Well I need to find a place to shoot farther because 325 yrds isn't working well.
