    unusual M99 scope mount

have any of you ever seen or heard of the "Miller Scope Mount"? it was a spring loaded affair designed for the Savage M99. it was made in Poughkeepsie NY around 1950 for mounting a Lyman Alaskan 3 or 4 power scope. i have tried to trace the patent number with no luck. i can e-mail pics.

Moved this up here where Joe would more likely see it for you. I'm sure he probably has a couple tucked away in his collection.

It was an early no drill scope mount, I believe they were called the Miller Kodiak. Not really rare, but it is uncommon. The stith no drill scope mount seemed to have the majority of the market back then.
