I have my Savage 300 Win Mag 116 ready for bedding in a new Boyd's thumbhole stock. I have the Savage 110/116 pillar kit from eBay.
Everything is prepped and ready to go. I am at the point of pouring in the bedding compound. But I wonder, is there any benefit to bedding the blind magazine? I have it taped off with several layers of masking tape already. But I don't plan on putting bedding compound inside the magwell.
I only plan to bed the area surrounding the front and rear pillars, and the receiver area above the blind magazine.
My question is...are there pro's/con's to bedding the blind magazine area?
TIA.

I agree with Bill, I could only see it causing problems.
Thank you. I appreciate the input. No bedding the magazine.
Thanks!
