I wonder why they didn't put a better stock option with these? It's almost like they were just using us as test goats to see if the round would catch on unfortunately the flimsy stock seems to scare many away to begin with

Thanks for sharing Steve. Waiting for your update on the heavy barrel. Maybe the heavy barrel and a Boyd's stock will be the combo to use with this platform.

I think they went to the heavy barrel to correct the problem with the weak flimsy barrel. JMT

For five $ Savage could put a much better, and much nicer stock on it, even if it was a synthetic stock. Kinda get tired of Savage's inane determination to make ugly stocks.

Gee, the SS BMag is finally on Savage Arms website.
I called my LGS to see if they had any info on the rifle I ordered 2 weeks ago. Was told they were 'backordered'.
Might take a drive to Jacksonville, Fl next week. There are several Dicks, Gander Mtn. stores there....

    Oh well....

Range report 3/24/14 14 deg and a 20mph head wind. I got my new Bmag hb dialed in. The dope from the original Bmag was way off. I cleaned after every 6 shots and needed to this is a dirty little round. I have a Mueller 4.5x14 with Burris high Z rings. So after I got used to shooting with a numb trigger finger i managed to get 6 shots at 50 yrds inside a dime size group which is excellent compared to my standard Bmag flexie flyer which shot 4 inch groups. This rifle is dead nuts and gets the green light from me. I hope to have a 100yrd report next week!

Seeing this is encouraging. Savage could do better on the stock.

Awesome shooting sniper. This is the 3rd HB Bmag that I have read about that shot well right out of the box ! Which ammo did you shoot 20's or 25's ?
May have to get me one.

Thanks shooting the 25s. It was cold and windy as hell. I also used factory set trigger pull weight. I will tighten up the group next time out and I would like a bipod to try.
