    Ruger/AI Mag Substitution

    Hey y'all,

I sent off a Bell and Carlson Tactical Medalist to CDI for inletting and the bottom metal for my SAvage HH in 308. I know that AI has an outstanding reputation for quality.

I was just curious if anyone has tried any of the Ruger polymer mags or anything else for that matter for the CDI metal and were the results good? I was looking to get a few more mags but $85 a piece adds up in a big hurry.

    Thanks in advance.

I have swapped around the Savage 10 BA mags with the Ruger Gunsite Scout mags and they clicked in to place.
    More shooting, less typing.

The 5 and 10 round Ruger mags work just fine with the AICS bottom metal, they should work with the CDI bottom metal as well.

The metal mags are Ruger branded OEM from AccurateMag and are a perfect fit.

The poly mags generally need some sanding on the ribs from about midway on up. I remember a picture thread either here or on Snipershide.
