    Busted Nikon Monarch UCC

I have a Nikon Monarch UCC that, for whatever reason, decided to quit holding zero. I hunted with my heavy Savage rifle for the first part of deer season (26 inch varmint barrel) and got sick of it so I replaced the busted scope on my deer rifle with a Sightron SII Big Sky. Now I'm stuck with a busted scope and need to get rid of it. Does anyone know how I can get it fixed to sell? Is it a total loss?

Nikon offers full lifetime warranties on their non-electronic scopes. Warranty is valid even if you're not the original owner.

Shipping to them is on your dime. When I sent camera bodies in for repair the service was done within a couple of days of them receiving the item. They return shipped via 2-day service.

Awesome. The scope was sold to me as a display item. I only paid $200 for it at the time. I was concerned that the warranty might not be good because of that.

Not to be negative (!!) but read the last line. There are folks selling 'refurbished' Nikons and they do not have a lifetime warranty, just 90 days.
Doesn't hurt to try, I guess.......

factory refurbs are marked so, correct? if that is the case you have nothing to worry about,
open box, display should have the same warranty as new one.

Just got off the phone with Nikon's service department. They don't seem to mind that I don't have the sale reciept so hopefully it will be repaired soon.

Refurbished are marked with a "R" before the serial number. I am almost positive. I have one.
