    Fate Vs Mod 200 Stevens

Like the passing of an old friend we learned recently that the trusty Model 200 is no longer made by Stevens.
I'm curious what lies in store for all the Model 200s in the years to come. Will it be a model forgotten or a model sought out and cherished by deer hunters?
They don't make inexpensive bolt actions like the 200 anymore. Will it gain in reputation and value like a Mod 70. You don't really appreciate something till it is gone.

Any opinions? In ten years will hunters remember the 200? Did the 200 leave its mark?

Did they leave a mark? Absolutely, but I think it will be more of a "Greatest donor gun ever".

Seriously though, I don't think they will ever be sought out like the pre-'64 Model 70 or anything, but yes I think they will be remembered by the Savage community as one of the last great inexpensive rifle.
