I bought a 64BTV used that was the same way. I applied some Hoppes #9 around the barrel to receiver joint soaked on a pad a few times over a couple of hours. Came right apart after that.
I have a model 64 with only about 500 rounds through it. I want to break it down for cleaning, but after removing the front stud and barrel clamp, the barrel will not come free. It's really suck. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

That's not right. Mine pulls right out, easily. Make sure you have the bolt "cocked" when you remove it, otherwise, it won't come out.
Whatever you do, DO NOT TWIST IT! You'll bend the guide rod thingy.
