I use H4895, BR4, and 39 gr BL in my Savage. I am running a slightly above book load (.2 gr) so I will not publish the numbers but am very satisfied with both the velocity and the accuracy! Work up to the max load but I had no problems with the max loads in my two guns. H4895 and 39 gr BK is a great combination for the 204!

On a good day (I am often not up to shooting well every day) we are talking .3 inch for 5 shots. Under .5 is the norm.

Shot my test loads today. Wow am impressed the benchmark showed good results put 4 of 5 in a 3/8 circle not bad if i do say so my self. The H4895 came in a close second at just a hair over that these loads were the max in book so im thinkin i prolly can tighten them up a bit the more the powder charge increased the tightetr they were getting

I have had good results with BLc-2 and 32 gr V-max in 3 different 204s, of 3 different manufactures.

You might try H335. I much prefer using spherical powder in small cases rather than trying to stuff extruded powder in. I've never noticed any problem with temperature sensitivity and I live in Montana. But, then, I always use magnum primers with any spherical powder and work up loads accordingly.

I use RL-15 26.2gr in my 12 with the 39gr BKs. It seems to hold well here in ND. I have shot it any where between 100 and -40.
