EGW base, Burris Signature Zee Rings

I'll soon be ordering an LRPV in 6BR with a Zeiss 6.5-20X-50 with the ZPlex reticle. I don't have any idea as to what rings/base would be best with this setup. I like the scope as low as possible but think they may not be high enough for the large Zeiss. Anyone offer some suggestions? I'm not sure yet as to what rings or base but lean toward Leupold. The only part I don't' like about Leupold's two piece rings is the windage adjustment screws.

I don't care for the aluminum Picatinny bases but the Zee rings are nice. I guess you'd need some form of Weaver mount for them due to the way they're made.
EGW makes a steel version as well if I remember correctly. Leupold PRW are my go to rings.
More shooting, less typing.
All of my 50mm objective lens scopes fit well with the Leupold high rings. Leupold also makes a two piece base with 90 degree locks on both ends, which would eliminate the windage screws.

Why would a one-piece scope base be better, ie, more accurate etc, than a two-piece scope base? Is it that there is more potential for alignment issues with a two-piece base and hence the scope could be a bit distorted as it is tightened in the rings?
I've had two Leupold mounts with the dovetail front ring lock and I've never known for sure once I got it turned if it was straight or not. You can still turn it past what appears to be straight. It doesn't lock in place once you turn it as instructed.
