    First go at gun kote.

Not a savage! My remington SP-10 go to duck and goose gun. It had been all duracoat, but it was wearing bad off the barrel and receiver causing rust. Duracoat lasted 4 years and is still on the wood stock. . Stripped it down, blasted and gun kote in flat dark earth. I like tHe color, but the paint went on kind of splotchy. I did preheat the parts prior to painting. Not sure what I did??? But, it survived being reassembled without any chips or scratches. Appears way more durable than duracoat since I had to beat a pin out after painting and it didn't scratch. Any tips on coating welcome.

Here is my oven. Found this on you tube. Found the lockers at a used office furniture place. The left one is open on the side so it is the blast and spray booth. Right one lined with duct insulation with a single hot plate. Temp gets up to 275. Need to move it and put a tarp around the blast side to contain the media.
