    Value of Model 12FV

What's the value of a pre Acutrigger Model 12FV ? I've found one local that I would say is around 95% as it has spent most of it's life in the safe. Would $400 be to much considering I'd most likely install an aftermarket trigger?

Around my area 400 would be on the verge of a steal. I haven't seen any for less than 500 for a while, but then if your back east the market will be different.

I've never paid more than $350 for any of the used heavy barreled model 10 or 12's I've bought. The 12 FLV that I bought last didn't have a box of ammo shot out of it,and even had Warne rings, and a Redfield 4-12 scope on it.
I sold the 308 barrel off it for $100,and got $30 for the bases and rings.Put the scope on one of my 22's.

Geographical location can make a huge difference in prices. $400 for a 12FV in 95% shape would be a bargain around my neck of the woods.

Looks like the seller is holding firm on $425 but he's going to include the Burris mount, rings, and 60 rnds of ammo. I've been looking for a good used .223 bolt gun for a while now and this is the only one I've found in my area.

I personally would place no value on the burris mount but even still: IF it is in the condition claimed I would buy it. It is in between fair price and steel for my area.

$400 is not a bad price in my opinion. The Burris setup may or may not be what you want and I'd place no value on it. The ammo, if factory, could add a little value. If it's reloaded ammo, I personally would not use it or add $ to the deal for it. The trigger is replaceable/improvable but wait til you spend some range time with it, as is, to make up your mind. Good Luck!

I've decided to pick it up in the morning! The ammo is factory Winchester in the box and with all the panic buying around here it's worth about $1 a round. I've decided to get into coyote hunting and will use this model 12 until I'm positive it's something I'm going to stick with then I'll probably build a dedicated predator gun.

Thanks for all the replies! Is there anything specific I should pay attention to or double check on this model?

I picked the rifle up this morning for $375 and it's in excellent condition except for a few water spots on the barrel. I'm still waiting on my scope to come in so I don't have a range report yet but did run a few rounds thru it to make sure it would cycle properly. Thanks again for all of the replies.
