Boyds Prarie Hunter XX Grade Claro Walnut Ordered

After researching wood stocks for a few weeks, I finally decided to give Boyds a go. It turns out it was the best price point between what I wanted and not growing old waiting on it or going broke purchasing it After seeing their line of higher grade claro walnut, I figured what the heck. I decided to get their unfinished XX grade Prarie Hunter with the rosewood tip cap and the black grip cap. Engraving would have been nice but the only way to get an engraved stock was by going with a finished stock As far as finishing goes, I plan on using the Armour All and True Oil finishing technique I discovered over at rimfire central. I will, however, try the finishing process on a piece of scrap wood first..

Anyhoot, this should be a fun project. I will post some pictures as the process gets started.

    Cheers,
