    modded classic 14 ?

I bought a SAVAGE model 14 classic. I read elsewhere that this rifle is suppose to have a "hinged" floor plate ? I have a dropout mag, and everything I keep reading says this is suppose to hold three in the mag, and one in the chamber. I cant get more than 2 rounds in the mag. Has this rifle been modified from a hinged to a dropout ? Any help would be great full. Thanks again all :)

The short mags only hold two in the DBM

And some of the classics have DBM mags while others have a hinged drop mag. I love them myself....have 4 or 5 in various configurations. I think they are one of Savages best offerings.
