I went on savage parts finder and found something interesting part# 105742 is a button retainer for the trigger bolt release it is listed for $10,000 I tried calling savage but the phone lines were very busy
They have several parts with that price on them, but a phone call will get the part for a very reasonable price.

called savage the customer service rep was a little baffled.....she called me back about 40 minutes later and said the part was $2.24 ......
