    17WSM Bmag Rotary Mag question

I have a new Bmag. I noticed that it if very difficult to load the rotary mag after the 1st round. I almost have to help the loaded round sideways with my finger or a small screwdriver to load the following round. It just seems very clunky and was wondering if this is normal for this gun, or do I have a mag problem? I have Ruger 10/22s which are the gold standard for rotary mags, so maybe I am spoiled. I just think the Savage mag should be better than it is.

It isn't normal, Savage will probably mail you a new one if you call

I had the same issue. I had to fiddle with each round just to get it in the mag and then they would not feed correctly into the chamber. I sent mine back.

It takes quite a bit of time to get each round in...is that not normal?

Try pushing each round all the way to the back of the magazine when you load it. It is not the most user friendly design but it works.
If it doesn't allow you to chamber or eject rounds properly, call savage they will replace it.
