    accutrigger

Are there any actual physical differences between a target accutrigger and the standard one? I'm wondering if the only difference is a lighter spring??

well that's good.. i'd hate to think that a spring was the only difference.. can you replace the spring on a standard accutrigger to make it a little lighter or is that just wishful thinking??

    Re: accutrigger

Although I haven't tried it myself, some folks put a lighter spring on the standard accutrigger and have had good results.

For a lighter spring try your local hardware store. Also check the Midway and Brownellls websites.

I have heard that the stock spring can be shortened by a coil or so to lighten the pull. If you overdo it you can tighten up the adjustment screw to restore proper operation.

I think I'd have a couple of stock springs on hand to use if this doean't work out. ::)

Contact Sharp Shooter Supply (SSS) as they have a replacement spring that brings the pull down too 1.5 pounds. I just installed on on my Model 12BVSS 300WSM and it's like night and day. Spring cost is $5.00 plus shipping, can't hurt to try one. email address to SSS:sshooter@wcoil.com. The spring is not listed on their website but they are available. If you call and get a busy signal don't get discouraged as they are tough to get a hold of by phone. Web address www.sharpshootersupply.com
