111 and 116 stocks the same?

are the plastic stocks on the new 111 and 116 the same? looking mostly at DBM left hand models.

trying to decide if it's worth the $200 for the stainless action, or if you get more than that. i'll be putting a stainless barrel on eigther way.

I believe the Trophy hunter XP series has its own type of stock... The mottom metal surrounding the mag well is not metal, in fact it is molded into the stock, I believe that is true for both SS and blued versions.

Most of the others have detachable mags with metal, detachable surround, and the stocks are the same for blued or ss.

I also think all accustocks are the same for blued or SS.

As always, I could be wrong.

If I were you, I would call Savage Customer Service to confirm. They tend to change things up a bit and it is almost impossible to say for sure.

Well, some do... some do not. I think the newer ones don't. Mine did not.

Don't need to bed the accustock. Defeats the purpose. Basically, the aluminum rail stiffens the stock and provides god, solid frame for the action.
