    Ordered a 7-08 tonight

I've been wanting to try high power silhouette for a while. I just ordered a 11FCNS 7MM08 ACS DBM SYN (19186) from Buds tonight. Last night I ordered a Leupold VX-3 6.5-20x40mm t EFR Target Dot scope for it.

I'm thinking a EGW 20 MOA picatinny base would go good with it but I don't have a clue as to what rings to buy to get the scope as low as possible. Anyone have this combination?

    Thanks,

    Szumi

Low rings should work with a 40mm objective.

In "low". Gonna be kinda hard to get the ocular very low with a 20 MOA picatinny rail. It forces that end up a bit by design. If its not low enough you may have to consider some sort of cheek rest. Or a 0 MOA rail.

egw,s 20 moa base is fine, but over priced. im not all that content with the screws they used though. they grind the screws down to specific lenghts which basically mucks up the starter thread on the screw.
I know its a pain for them to chase the threads but for the price?.....
    Id go weaver

Those are good rings. I have those in 30mm on my 10 FCP-HS in .308.

I've been thinking I don't need a 20 MOA rail to get to 500 meters.

I went back and checked. My 10 FCP-HS has a Weaver tactical rail on it at 0 moa. I think I'll just get another one.

    Thanks,
