    How to AI 260 rem?

I have a Model 10 predator 260 on order. I'm wondering how hard it is to convert my stock 260 barrel to 260AI? I've tried searching but only find how to convert the brass. For the barrel, is it just a headspacing issue or is it more involved? Any idea on $ to convert? Thanks in advance.

A knowledgable gunsmith would take .050 off the face of the barrel and ream the chamber for the AI. That would clean up the existing chambering and place the roll mark in the proper position. If you don't clean up the original chamber, your neck area will have a ring in it due to the angle change. If your smith already has the reamer, it shouldn't cost too much. If he has to buy or rent a reamer, expect a little more cost.

Thanks, I'll talk to my smith about it. Just looking for a little info before I talk to him before I pick up the gun.
