    Model64 or somthing else?

I'm in search of a new 22.. Again.. I recently bought a 22 to replace my 1934 winchester 67. Come to find out i bought a Stevens Springfield 87a that was most likely made 37-beginning of ww2 on top of that the scope it has is a 1938ish mossberg no4 with period adjustable target rings. NOW for the question.. Has anybody had experince with the savage 64? Like accuracy an reliabillity? Or should i go with sothig different. I hate rugger and I'm not a fan of remington so that kinda says me away from marlin a little bit.

Have to be a semi? Never had a 64. The Marlin/Glens always were very accurate. However after a whole mess of 22 sometimes they need some parts in bolt, round flipper etc. Don't know about the remlingons now a days though. I'm not a 10-22 fan either. Ordered some of the Mossy plinkers and one looks like an AR for customers, NOT impressed. Like AR style?,, get a lower and buy a 22 dedicated upper like a spikes or many AR mfg have decent uppers. Theres the colt AR, S&W around $400.

Personally I went to a bolt. Saves on ammo. Got a TOZ can split hairs. Like the FV SR too. Shot a few Henry levers, fun, handy, cool, plinker accuracy is all though. Plenty used 22 semis on GB, all flavors. Gunshops, pawn shops. Nothing wrong with an old Fieldmaster either.

Preferably semi auto.. Sadly i will never own an ar.. I shot an ar and a scar back to back and i was highly disappinted in the ar platform. I want more of a "rifle" feel. And I've been with boltguns all my life and i want somthing "fun" lmao. My 93r17 BV. Is stupid accurate and anything withing 300 yards is dead but somtimes i wanna get away from that and get some challenge. I may use my 87a but il feel bad if i beating up a peice of history/oddity. Idk though? That 93r17 is. Heavy ass gun to carry in the woods were i live. Ravines and streams and thorn bushes lmao thats why i was thinking the 64

Yup, with good ammo it will keep them in about a nickel size circle at 50 yards.

Love my 64! Goes *BANG* every time.

Simple enough, get one! Buy the charging handle and dovetail rail (if it's not drilled/tapped) here: www.diproductsinc.com
