If it's a center feed, pretty sure that if you take the bottom plate/cap off the 308 DBM and put it on your internal 223 mag and follower, you'll have a 223 DBM. Think it's that simple.
Good luck,
Dana

Hmm. sounds almost to easy. Is that really all it takes?
You will have to remove the 223 mag from the stock. That takes a little patience.
On a center feed, the box and follower are the same between internal, DBM and HFP models. The magazine parts are caliber family specific, in that 223 and 308 would use different boxes and followers.

I don't believe there is a box in my stock. When I take the stock off its just a hollow box with the follower and leaf spring. there is an assembly attached to the bottom of the action is these what your talking about?
No. Your 223 is a staggered feed model, not a center feed. This is a completely different animal.
Tell me about the 308 DBM. Button on the side or lever in front?

its the old style side botton not the bottom lever
Is there a way to make it work with a new stock and all?
Some one smarter than me will need to answer that.Originally Posted by 223DRIVER
