    55 Vmax loads

    Hi people,

Just popped the new (Used Factory) barrel on the Model 16 22-250 and it seems to like the factory 55 V max loads.

It's 1-12 twist so if you have the same barrel and you use the Vmax can I have your load data!!

    Cheers..
    Slimy

41gr and up to a full case of H380 50 thou off the lands, you may or may not know this, but H380 was originally formulated for the 22-250.

RUMs are like woman in Stiletto heals, you know they are going to put you in the poor house, but that has never stopped anyone from pursuing them.

You will lose a bit of speed "which is sacrilege to me" anyway about 200 Fps, but a full case of H4350 or RL17 always yielded excellent results.

Reloader 17 works really well with a 69gr Sierra Match king. 36gr of that gives me an even 3300fps and half inch groups at 200 yards.

50g Z-max (cheaper) with 39g of Alliant Power Pro 2000MR. 3950 FPS into one hole at 100 and Point of Aim out to 300.

Yes, I have a few of the z max 50 gr projectiles.

I'll also give them a go. It just really seemed to like the 55 vmax but I'm also keen to try the nosler and Sierra tipped ammo too.

Very accurate caliber for sure. Varget, imr4895, imr 4064 all shoot very accurate .75 inch all day long. Most accurate for me being imr 4895 with 50 gr noslers bt. Clover leaf accurate
