Boyds stock install on Bottom Bolt release Model 11

Has anyone purchased and installed a Boyd's laminate stock on a bottom bolt release model 11? The website mentions something about ordering additional parts from Savage. My gun is the 11 trophy Hunter with the plastic magazine latch. This is my first Savage and I love everything but the stock. The Nikon scope is ok for the time being but the stock has to go. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.

Both Boyd's and Stocky's sells the longer action bolts. Does your model 11 have a separate plastic piece that the magazine clips into?

Also VERY IMPORTMANT there are two metal pieces that act like washers/spacers for the action screws so the plastic isn't smashed/broken.

PILLAR, FRAME, SYN, REAR (LWH) - PN: 108702
    $2.00

FRAME, SHORT, SYN, MATTE (DBM) - PN: 109400
$14.00 This is the plastic surround that the magazine latched into.

If your magazine holder is molded into the polymer stock you need to get from Savage the plastic "surround" for the magazine.

Thanks for the info and the links. The 14 classic tempting! Will it be a drop in job with minor work to free float the barrel?

The 14 stock is awesome, only thing is the recoil lug area is THIN, so it will only take a thin stock recoil lug unless relieved and made wider.
My 0.250 precision recoil lug would not fit. But you can by thinner precision recoil lugs from PTG @ 0.1875, 0.200, heck they even sell a 0.300 lug.

Depending on the barrel every thing will drop in. The Trophy Hunters use sporter weight barrels, will drop in.
