I'll be the first so say I don't normally have much love for camo... But holy crap this gun is awesome! That pain job looks really great man! Good work!

Thanks, I'm pretty happy myself with the results. I did practice on a Chinese air gun first with a couple of other methods. The sponge method produces very pleasing results and is really easy to do. No taping or stencils required. i'm going for an extreme range "sniper" here, so the camo look is a must.

Just another update, I know it's been awhile. I've been experimenting some with different loads. Right now it seems like 190 grain boolits and RL22 are the ideal mix for this caliber. However, RL22 is harder than hell to find right now. So I got me a case (42 pounds) of surplus 7383. Now I have read lots of scary stuff on the forums about this powder, but I've got to say it has been working out okay for me. Here's the deal, this stuff is super bulky stick powder. Where I can fit 60+ grains of RL22 under a 190 SMK, I can only get about 51 grains of 7383. This only gives me about 2500 FPS so not ideal for extreme range (beyond 1000 yards). However, at short range (my club only goes to 200) I have produced some pretty good results IMO. This picture is a 'best of' and there was a flyer (could be me, could be the wind). But my other groups were not that far from this. Not counting the flyer the caliper group size was .666". This was done from a harris bipod and in the prone at 200 yards.
Nosler brass, Sierra matchking 190 and 51 grains 7383 with Wolf primer.
