The one I have is, but it didn't come from Gun Shack, therefore YMMV.

I didn't buy mine from Gun Shack, but I've used them easily 30 or more times to remove factory installed barrels. Of course I don't beat on them with hammers either!

I just kept my eyes out for a set to pop up in the classifieds. NSS has them for less. Removing my last two factory barrels took the torch, pipe wrench, and hammer to get the nut loose. That was even after soaking in Kroil. I must have had Mongo put them on at the factory.

Gun Shack has both wrenches for 30 bucks so I'll probably just order from them. You never know if you'll need the smooth nut wrench.

    Smooth nut wrench?
You mean, I wasn't supposed to use the 24" pipe wrench & 4lb hammer to get it off?

I only put it on snug tight.......

Mongo must have assembled my last two rifles. The pipe wrench and hammer is what it took to get my last two off. I was almost about to take it to my machinist buddy and use a slot cutter in the lathe to get it off.

I'm not sure but I think Mongo's brother held the action while he tightened the barrel nut on the last Axis I bought. I beat the barrel nut wrench so much I damaged the face of the hammer.

I have yet to hit mine with a hammer, it's much easier to unscrew the action.
