    VLP stock vs AccuStock

Is the laminated stock stiffer than an AccuStock?

    Thanks

The accu stock with aluminum bedding block is probably quite a bit lighter than the laminate stock. So ask yourself what you want ? Light or heavy ?

This is for my 10FCP-K. I'll be bringing it varminting so weight is an issue but not necessarily a deal breaker if within reason.

I have a few models 10's and a 12 and a 110 in the laminate stock. And they certainly are heavy. I also have a model 10PC in the accustock with a 20" barrel and it is considerably lighter to tote. So I tend to choose based on the shot I think I am going to get. The longer the distance, the more I would want the heavier rifle in the laminate stock. Also depends on the cartridge or course. Not sure how many 185 Bergers I would want to shoot out a model 10 carbine in 308, but for just a few, no problem. If one were to put a 26" varmint barrel into the accustock the extra weight would make it more comfortable to shoot, but I think the balance would be off (muzzle heavy) so would be more awkward to carry.
